DC Unveils Details for “DC 75th Anniversary Music Collection”

As you may be aware, DC is coming up on it’s 75th anniversary as a company. They’ve been doing different things to celebrate, but today their official blog, The Source, unveiled details on a music CD, collecting music and themes from media adaptions of their classic characters that have occurred over the years, from animated shows to movies. Many of these tracks have been unreleased in the past; as many as twenty one of the thirty one tracks, in fact. It sounds like an interesting “soundtrack” CD, to say the least.

As you’ll see below, the track list takes music from adaptions made as far back as the 40′s. Included are things like Danny Elfman’s theme for the 1989 Tim Burton Batman film and John Williams theme for the Superman movie. There’s even a Teen Titans related track, culled from a very old Filmation cartoon of the Fab Five iteration. They certainly run the gamut.
