J.T. Krul Introduces New Character
As J.T sits down to talk about the work on his books, he brings up info about a new character, Solstice.
The second main arc will bring the newest titan – Solstice – into the fold, thus giving her a chance to shine (yes, the reference to her powers is blatant). And much of her story with Teen Titans will be how certain members react to her – particularly Beast Boy and Raven (again – interpersonal relationships).
Discussions have already broken about. Could J.T be reffering to a possible love triangle? Or maybe she will lend her aid to amend Gar and Raven’s relationship. Perhaps Solstice is the mysterious girl featured in the exclusive #87 preview or even the girl Conner was seen kissing.
What I find interessting, that fact that Garfield and Raven’s relationship was brought up could mean it will play a much more significant part than we thought.

It perhaps would lead hem to see the love in hear other or would mess up everything , and it could be that girl with Conner because how else could it be?!
Yessss!!!!!! finally…someone actually taking an honest good turn on the whole relationship..hopefully this will end the will they won’t they whirlwind that has been so rampant *tears* thank you oh thankyou….
I wonder if Krul is going to shoot for having this Solstice character strike up a friendship with Raven. Her power seems to have to do with light. Raven’s considered a “dark” character, I guess. Seems like it could be an interesting dynamic for a friendship.
It’s their time-traveling daughter from the future.

I can’t make a guess for my life, but the time-traveling relative has already been done, so that’d be recycling. Good for everything, except stories…
Then again, people do that all the time, so it’s just as possible as any other guess. Fhaha.
But it’d be quite trite, so I should hope not.
I wouldn’t worry. The time traveling daughter/cousin/aunt four times removed trope won’t happen here unless JT pulls a swerve. The page she first appears on shows her with her mother and father.
There are a few decent guesses on the forums, but what will actually go down is still up in the air. Her powers are light, apparently, which is a contrast with Raven. I doubt that’s lost on JT; whether he uses it to make the two butt heads or engage in a “Odd Couple” type of friendship remains to be seen. Beast Boy, who knows, though I’d guess Solstice will have a thing for him. Love triangle or not, I suspect this character will be used to create drama.
Garfield has always been the funny one, and Raven has always been this serious or sarcastic one. They’ve always butted heads, and even though the comics storyline is about a whole bunch of different superheroes, their relationship has always been a big part of it. I can’t see them breaking them up forever, but this could cause some drama, and maybe even push them together in a way. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see, but I think this is going to be fun! ‘-^
