Teen Titans #100: So we’re back, from outer space?

Issue number 100 of Teen Titans – the last of this volume before the DCnU begins next week – just hit today. Since this is the end of JT Kruls run – Teen Titans is getting an overhaul with the relaunch – we expected loose ends to be tied up and perhaps Gar and Raven to address their issues, since that’s been a simmering subplot.

We’re not entirely sure we expected this.

So, yeah, the two lock lips and on the next couple of pages we see them holding hands.

Where the two end up from here is still a question mark. The new writer of Teen Titans opted for a mix of the Young Justice four and new characters, which means it’s unlikely we’ll see the two – or Ravager either – in Teen Titans, unless it’s a guest spot down the way. The writer of Teen Titans #1 onwards – Scott Lobdell – indicates that we’ll be seeing more Titans down the road, perhaps elsewhere. Quite possible they’ll reappear in one of the books among the second wave of the relaunch.

So, they may be going into limbo for now, but at least it’s probably safe to say they’re going into limbo together.
